“Obedience of Mother Mary
On one hand it is obvious that the
Immaculate Virgin Mary became so fortunate to bear the Son of God. On the other
hand, our Lady has to admit both fortunes and risk simultaneously on account of
the fact, that She being aware that it was unlawful to bear a child in Her
situation gave Her ‘fiat’ or ‘Yes’ to God.
In today’s Gospel we hear about the annunciation to Mary that is only
because of her obedience to God, her yes to God. As often the angel Gabriel was
sent to people of God. Today also Gabriel is sent to Virgin Mary and what he
said to her “Hail Mary full of grace” what was the purpose of this greeting.
Because she may recognize her value so many people always feel loneliness like
mother Mary there opportunity can also come for that? They have also to be
ready to listen his message and voice. This message was not from across the sea
and river this was from the lord of most high “hail Mary, be delightful there
was very simple way to greet her. The Lord is with full” the dwelling place of
God is always be with her. If God is with us then nothing bad can come to us.
No obstacles can come to us in the way of service to God as his servants. What
so ever kindness is there it never takes time to accept it is blessing on
Mother Mary “blessed are you among the women.
Mother Mary has taught
us a lesson in obedience. We should admire her courage and obedience which is
culminated in the salvation of mankind in and through the sacrifice of Jesus
Christ.
This becomes our challenge to bow down to the will of God and to do what the Lord expects us to do on this earth.
This is actually grace on her even the people will also accept
her that she is really filled with grace. Even she herself explains that
surely, from now on all generation will call me blessed although she was much
perplexed by his word because she knew that she was not able to make promise of
big plane with herself. Therefore pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Is it greeting from heaven or from human being. On this moment her thinking can
be useful for all the same gender of girls to her. When the words are given to
them they should also reflect on these words. What can of words or message is
that. Angle had to give her very important message therefore
angle continued her talk but Mary did reply on his greeting. Then because
of it angle urged her and said her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; God has been
gracious to you. You will conceive and give birth to a Son and you will call
Him Jesus. He will be great and will be so-called the Son of the Almighty
Father.”
When Mary a virgin
heard this utterance from the angel Gabriel, she became speechless as to what
it meant. Yet, once she was filled with
the Spirit of God, She humbly replied, “I
am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to Thy Word.”
It is more than enough
or to much more from her thinking or deserve. Many of us think that
the grace of God is upon them but actually it does not.
If God is with you so don’t be afraid how many are
against you. Although she is virgin but she will get the little of to
be mother, only because of her obedience and acceptance under the will of
God. She asked to angel how it can be since I am a virgin. Why Jesus will take
birth from the virgin she asked she does not reply but she asked to get more information
under his guidance and received the answer when angel Gabriel proclaimed “the
Holy Spirit will overshadow you, and the power of the most high will surpass
you”. As like Mother Mary
should we also turn our desire towards the will of God and should we say
“let it be with me according to your word”.
Then she accepted the will of God for herself and said “here I am
the servant of the Lord” she was ready to serve God. So she left all her
thinking on God and accepted his all will.
In addition, if we take into consideration the virtue of obedience
that Mother Mary possessed throughout her life, it is indeed amazing how she submitted
herself to the will of God and lived accordingly. It should be notable that it
was not anything else that caused Mother Mary to be subjected to God but her
genuine willingness and obedience to God.
When angel of God came to her, Mary should have immediately denounced
the message. But she allowed herself to be filled with the Holy Spirit and professed
that she would like to be the handmaid of the Lord. She did not have any hesitation
in being so loyal to God. That is why she let God dwell in her and mold her
life in line with the way God wanted. Therefore, can we be so open to God and
allow Him to take the control of our life?
The parallel thing that goes with Mother Mary is the Holy Rosary. It
is the most powerful and effective tool that relates us to the presence of God
through the mediation of our beloved Mother Mary and our defense against the
evil powers. The power of the Holy Rosary is immense.
“May Mary be the perfect cause for our being alive and may she lead
us to the safe harbor of eternal life. May she be our gentle model and
inspiration in the virtue of humility” we may learn from our dear Mother to obey
God in all the possible way, may her ‘fiat’ be a symbol of our perseverance and
dedication.
