“The Meeting of two great and faithful personalities”

“The Meeting of two  great  Mothers ”

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord, today as we heeded to the Sacred Scriptures and as we come ever nearer to the joyful celebration of Nativity of Our Lord in just coming few more days, all of us are called that God passionately loves us all, and we are all valuable and sustained by Him. We should be thankful and feeling very privileged to have been precious in such a way by our loving God, and to have experienced His most wonderful love and grace. God the Father is always merciful and full of compassion towards all humanity, in spite of all our sins, short comings and failures. As He wishes us to return to Him and revive the love that we all should have for Him.

The Lord has assured us His salvation, and has consistently demonstrated His love for us all along, never leaving us even at the times of our most prominent pain. He has consistently put us generally first and preeminent in Quite a while contemplations, and He tried all of the time to connect with us, attempting to track down us and to reclaim us so we may not be everlastingly lost to Him. Furthermore for that reason He descended into our middle, through His most Blessed Mother Mary, the Blessed Ever-Virgin Mother of God, who went to visit Elizabeth, her cousin in our Gospel entry today.

Elizabeth perceived Mary and the One inside her womb, the Savior of the entire world and the Lord Himself, the Divine Word Incarnate, Who has taken up the human life and structure in the Flesh, to bring His salvation into our life. The Lord has uncovered Himself to us, the completion of His affection, through His manifestation and afterward His coming into this world. The world that was once in the weakness and in the shadows of death and evil has at long last seen reality, love and salvation from God. The meeting of these two great mothers has revealed the plan of salvation that God has intended to save the whole humanity.

That is the genuine core of Christmas, which regularly unfortunately had been forgotten by the world, by a lot of people of us, even we who called ourselves as Christians. We have failed to remember how the Lord had helped us and sidelined Him since we have little confidence in Him. We are quickly harassed by the numerous temptations and common longings present in this world. These had deceived us down some unacceptable way and made us be isolated further and further away from God. Therefore we are called to recall our call and rejoice as today these two great mothers rejoiced being united by the love of God.

Presently, brothers and sisters in Christ, as we paid attention to these expressions of the Scriptures, we are thusly helped to remember the requirement for us to react to God's affection and to answer His call. He has called us all to follow Him and to depend ourselves totally to His consideration and to trust in His expectation and light, in His reality and way. Be that as it may, to do as such, most importantly, we really want to dismiss immovably the allurements of our common worries and wants.

Today liturgy of the Word demonstrates that to have a deep contemplation upon the plan of salvation by meeting of two

 great and faithful personalities.

In first reading we hear about the coming of our beloved Christ. According to our culture when we get news coming of someone guest so we may prepare everything we can.

Here we are hearing about special guest is Christ Jesus whether there is second coming Christ or nativity of Christ the thing is needed that is preparation there are some kind of preparation as mentally, physically and spiritually we have been hearing since our childhood about spiritual preparation. Is it really necessary to prepare oneself spiritually?

Yes, because if you want to change your life or want to meet him through and through, give your life to God then a bolt from the blue will not come in your life.

Now if you want to have a meeting or an encounter with Christ then do prepare yourself as John the Baptist proclaimed about the preparation. But in second reading we hear about the meeting of two great faithful personalities Mother Mary and Elizabeth. Mother Mary was called, “blessed” because she has been called, chosen and loved by God Himself.

The angel greeted Mary as “blessed” because she was called by God Almighty. If Mother Mary is blessed then blessed is the fruit of her womb.

Mother Mary and Jesus they are blessed by God but the one who asks grace of Mother Mary or Christ will be blessed. Mother Mary left her work and went to meet Elizabeth.

It was a service of Mother Mary for Elizabeth. John the Baptist left in his mother’s womb and welcomed Mary. It was also a meeting of Christ and John. The angel said that Mary is blessed in same way Elizabeth proclaimed.

This was not merely a meeting of two cousins but it was an encounter between the creator Jesus and creature John.

Heaven and earth were meeting together and rejoicing at each other’s presence. Although called the Mother of God but instead of boasting she went to serve her cousin Elizabeth. It shows the humility and obedience of Mother Mary the service which is given to us ask yourself. Do I serve faithfully or not? Today let us think about service as great example is given to us in the Gospel Mother Mary served as a Mother of God. We should also serve them those who are poor hopeless and in need of help. Today we have a golden opportunity so let us ask God to grant us ardent of zeal like Mother Mary so that we serve others enthusiastically but adapting the passion of service, humility and obedience of Mother Mary.
