           "THE LONGING FOR LIE ETERNAL"

Dear brethren in Christ, today as we paid attention to the expressions of the Scriptures, we all are called to reflect on the obligation for us to have another disposition in life when we follow Christ, and not to keep carrying on with our lives the way that the world generally anticipates that we should carry on with our lives. As Christians we are called to be different in that we follow the way that the Lord has shown us and to leave on this excursion of confidence throughout everyday life, with God as our Guide and as our concentration. This is our reason for living as Christians that we should embrace sincerely.

In our first reading today we heard from the Book of the prophet Samuel with regards to when King Saul of Israel unheeded the Lord and His will, following the instincts of his own judgment and wants as opposed to submitting to the Lord totally and confiding in Him. Lord Saul was constrained by common longings. The order of the Lord was to annihilate everything of the Amalekites, yet he and his kin saved the best and significant things. 

The reason was: to propose as a penance to the Lord. The ruler presents a praiseworthy explanation yet was it the desire of the Lord? As per the lessons of the world, he had made the best choice.
