WEDNESDAY, ELEVENTH WEEK
OF ORDINARY TIME (C)
(2 Kings 2: 1, 6-14);
(Mt 6: 1-6, 16-18)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today as we paid attention to the
expressions of the Scripture, we are helped to remember our activities as
Christians in answering God's call for us to follow Him and committing
ourselves to Him. All of us as Christians should be really reliable and
certified in our lifestyle so we are genuinely meriting being called as God's
supporters and His people. God has forever been thoughtful in connecting with
us, and He has shown us the way ahead throughout everyday life. It is then
dependent upon us whether we need to follow Him or rather following our own way
throughout everyday life.
In our most memorable reading today, we knew about the progress between
the prophets Elijah and Elisha, as Elisha had been selected to be the
replacement of the prophet Elisha in the service to people of the northern
realm of Israel. Elijah had reached the finish of his service while the Lord
had called and delegated Elisha to be the replacement to Elijah. Thus, today as
we heard in our most memorable perusing, Elisha followed Elijah to the spot
where Elijah was unexpectedly taken up to Heaven in a blazing chariot, and
Elisha was passed on to proceed with the benevolent acts that Elijah had
started.
Elisha was called by God and he answered this calling with confidence.
Elisha devoted himself hence to the works that he had been depended with, in laboring
among people of Israel. He kept on workpeople for the more prominent wisdom of
God, notwithstanding the hardheadedness of people and their rulers every one of
whom wouldn't pay attention to the Lord and kept on rebelling against Him, in their
love of agnostic symbols and divine beings, and in their proceeded with

Elisha needed to try sincerely and work against the difficulties he needed to
confront, yet he followed the Lord reliably and did his absolute best to his
service.
In our Gospel section today, we knew about the Lord telling His followers
on how every one of them should act and go about as His followers. The Lord
Jesus approached them to be liberal in giving and good cause, and to do so not
on the grounds that they need to be praised by others. The Lord let them know
that as Christians, they should do so on the grounds that they really need to
give, and have care and worry to the next individual they are providing for.
They additionally should do different things and practices like their fasting
and recognition of different guidelines, with the right reasons and aims. In
any case in the event that they got things done with some unacceptable goals,
they are no greater than deceivers.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, today we are undeniably called through
the expressions of the Scriptures to embrace the call which the Lord had made
to us, in calling us to be certifiable in our Christian living. We ought not
resemble posers who affirm to have faith in the Lord but didn't get things done
or act in the way of how they had confidence in. We need to invest the energy
and work to follow the Lord and to concede to His goal, and we should not
permit ourselves to be occupied and influenced by the untruths and the
deceptions of Satan, or some other common compulsions to make us fall
increasingly deep into some unacceptable way throughout everyday life.
We are sharers underway and endeavors of the Church, called to pastor to
our people, to everyone around us who are maybe not yet adjusted nevertheless
uninformed about the way and the reality of Christ. It is through us and our
activities that we can deliver the Lord's reality and His adoration to our
brethren. In any case, in the event that we most definitely didn't act and get
things done in the way that we have accepted, who will then, at that point, put
stock in the Lord? As a matter of fact, on the off chance that our activities
are in opposition to what we trust in, that will push others endlessly further

confidence. We must be dynamic in carrying on with our lives and rehearsing all

processes, that we may dependably subscribe to extol the Lord by each activity,
words and deeds we make. May He engage us and give us the boldness to support
our confidence, and to be His praiseworthy devotees and adherents consistently.
May God favor us and our great endeavors in general and tries, presently and
