"A CALL OF MATTHEW"

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today as we paid attention to the expressions of the Scriptures, we are undeniably called to ponder the requirement for us all to have a changed disposition throughout everyday life, in our activities and by they way we carry on with our lives as Christians, that we may really follow the Lord in the manner that we are supposed to, in being great Christians and great supporters of the Lord. All of us are called to leave our pride, inner-self and haughtiness, and on second thought share ourselves with God with modesty and compliance, and with confidence and responsibility that we should show Him.

In our most memorable reading today, we heard from the Book of the prophet Amos, with respect to the expressions of the Lord advance notice people  of Israel by and by, similarly as we have heard throughout recent days, of the approaching day of judgment and retaliation over them. The prophet Amos was sent by God to people  of the northern realm of Israel, so through him those people  who had shown their insubordination and devilishness against God might atone and get some distance from their wicked ways. Sadly, those equivalent people  whom God had allowed numerous opportunities, similar to that of their precursors kept on rebelling against God and, surprisingly, mistreated the prophets like Amos.

Thus, it was by their own obstinate perspectives and activities that they were to be censured, the people who wouldn't have confidence in God and decided to stroll in the way of wrongdoing and haziness. All of us are called to be more similar to Christ, in our modesty and eagerness to comply with the desire of God. Allow all of us to look for the Lord with recharged confidence and energy, to stroll in His Presence with ever more prominent responsibility from here onward. May God be with us generally, and may He enable all of us to live steadfastly ever in His way, presently and consistently. Amen.
